The matrimonial covenant, by which a man and a woman establish between themselves a partnership of the whole of life, is by its nature ordered toward the good of the spouses and the procreation and education of offspring; this covenant between baptized persons has been raised by Christ the Lord to the dignity of a sacrament.
Arrangements should be made with a priest at least six months in advance. Pre- marriage classes, as well as meetings with the priest, are necessary. One party to be married must be a registered parishioner and a practicing Catholic.
Marriage:
Any Parishioner who wishes to marry should contact the pastor at least six months prior to the desired date. (Do not reserve a place for the wedding reception until you reserve a day and time for the church wedding.)
Anyone who is married in a civil ceremony and wishes to sacramentalize the marriage should contact the pastor.
Anyone planning to celebrate a 25th or 50th anniversary should contact the parish office well in advance of the desired date.
Wedding Policy;
Only registered/former parishioners can be married. The exception to this rule is that if one is not a member, they can still schedule a wedding as long as their parents or grandparents belong to the parish.
